Danielle came across furniture making accidentally when she completed an evening woodworking course, which was meant to provide inspiration for projects she could take back to the classroom as she was an art teacher at the time. The seed had been sowed and she left teaching the following year to give furniture making a go and quickly ended up enrolled in an apprenticeship, which she couldn’t have been more happy to complete.
Her raft of experience in cabinet & furniture making now includes previously working at some fantastic local companies including Co-Craft and House of Orange. Danielle also has international experience working with Dittmar and Friends in Germany.
Danielle’s first day with us was a day before the lock down (how’s that for timing?!), so we have had to adapt and instead of making furniture Danielle has hit the ground running from home, designing our new workshop layout, and extracting and documenting the designs lying in Dave’s head.
